Bernot wind farm

After completing a series of preliminary environmental studies and establishing contact with municipal representatives, Iqony asked the Bernot municipal council to vote to approve the construction of a wind farm in Bernot.

In May 2017, Iqony worked with the Bernot town council to organise a public information event, giving residents of Bernot and the surrounding area an opportunity to find out more about the new wind park project and to share their opinions.

Following a positive response from locals, Iqony performed a series of studies and analyses to check that constructing the Bernot wind farm was feasible. The following points were examined between 2017 and 2020:

• Flora and fauna
• Geological conditions
• Landscape
• Acoustics
• And more

The Bernot wind farm is currently planned to be built with six wind turbines, designed to supply power to 15,000 French households.
